JasonR vs Tarik Valorant Drama Explained

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you’re probably already aware of the ongoing drama between former CS:GO pros Jason “jasonR” Ruchelski and Tarik “tarik” Celik.

While the community is saddened by this argument that potentially endangers the friendship between two age-old friends, many are also struggling to get a grasp on what’s actually going on between the two.

In case you’re the latter kind, we have you covered. Here’s what you need to know about the ongoing JasonR vs tarik drama.

Earlier this year, JasonR faced allegations of sexism where he was accused of dodging Valorant games whenever there was a female player on his team. However, the 27-year-old was swift to dismiss the accusations and proceeded to mock the people who were making these allegations in one of his live streams on Twitch.

While the drama settled in a few days later, it recently resurfaced when JasonR called out tarik during a match for being an “L friend” and not defending him during these allegations.

“You were in a position to tell people that ‘JasonR is not the f**king person that these f**king people are trying to label him as,’” JasonR said to Tarik in a Valorant lobby after the game.

“You chose to stay silent. You have not gone out and told people and given a character witness of me.”

Tarik, on the other hand, claimed that there was evidence to prove that he had dodged games with women on his team.

“That’s my stance on it, and if I play with you it seems like I support that behavior. But, I’ve never been on my stream talking s**t about you or saying anything bad. I’ve never been here like, ‘F**k Jason, he’s doing this s**t. F**k Jason, why is he acting like that?’ No, I’m quiet, but I’ve said I don’t support it so I’m not going to play with [you],” tarik said.

The argument between the two continued for about an hour with the two exchanging their views. Near the end of the debate, tarik was visibly frustrated as he held his head with his hands.

“Like I said, just end it. Stop making it a real thing and just find a way to not let it affect you anymore. That’s my final point. That’s my advice to you,” the 26-year-old said.

Following the incident, JasonR released a statement on Twitter apologizing for avoiding certain situations out of respect to his wife and to avoid toxicity.
