Just Cause: Mobile will be a top-down shooter. The game will let players team up with friends to compete in multiplayer game mode or play the one-of-a-kind co-op mode and complete various challenges to earn upgrades and gears. The game will allow players to customize their character and take on the single-player story campaign featuring cameos from previous Just Cause Series characters.

The game is lined-up for launch next year with no exact date as of yet. Although Square Enix confirms that at launch the game will feature a total of four modes, namely:

  1. Single Player Story Campaign- Use your custom created character to explore the large and unexplored open-world in the Just Cause Universe.
  1. 30 Player Competitive Multiplayer- A 30 player competitive player mode where 3 teams of 10 players each will fight it out to claim bases and earn points. The game mode will allow teams to use both weapons and vehicles that they might find scattered around a large map.
  1. 4-Player Co-op- team up with friends and complete select missions together to earn upgrades and gears essential for character progression.
  1. Co-op challenge mode- similar to the 4-player co-op mode, team up with friends and take on harder challenges to earn even more rewards and unique items.
