Krafton India Launches Gaming Incubator to Support Domestic Talent

In a strategic move to strengthen the gaming ecosystem in India, Krafton India has unveiled its gaming incubator. This initiative is not just about expanding the local gaming landscape but is a testament to Krafton’s commitment to nurturing domestic talent in the burgeoning gaming sector.

Krafton India Gaming Incubator (KIGI)

The newly launched Krafton India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) is designed to support budding gaming teams, ranging from six to ten annually. The incubation period spans from six months up to a year. What’s on offer for these teams? A comprehensive package that includes:

  • Guidance and Mentorship: Participants will benefit from the expertise of gaming industry stalwarts, game developers, and seasoned professionals from both South Korea and India.
  • Access to Krafton’s Resources: From market research to data insights, Krafton is opening its treasure trove of resources to these teams.
  • Financial Backing: Depending on the specific needs of the teams, financial support will range between $50,000 and $150,000.

Who Can Apply?

Krafton India is casting a wide net with its KIGI program. The doors are open for early-stage Indian startups, those in the conception phase, student teams, and even independent game developers. The goal? To discover and nurture the next big thing in the gaming world.

While the incubation program is a significant step, Krafton’s vision for India goes beyond that. The company has already made substantial investments in the Indian gaming sector, including backing companies like Nodwin Gaming and Lila Games. The incubation program might also serve as a scouting ground for potential acquisitions, further solidifying Krafton’s footprint in India.
