China has not been doing too well at the League of Legends World Championship 2020. LGD Gaming almost got eliminated during the Play-in stage, losing to the likes of PSG Talon, Unicorns of Love, and Rainbow7 before notching up a win over V3 Esports, pushing the Japanese lineup into elimination in Worlds 2020 Group A.
Their Main Event start wasn’t too bright either, with Gen.G handing them a loss in Group C.
Pitted against Fnatic in their second game of the group, LGD Gaming pulled off an upset of sorts, beating European powerhouse Fnatic with a strong draft and a patient performance.
This marks LGD Gaming’s first win in the Group Stage at Worlds, with the Chinese lineup now set to meet Team Solo Mid in a must-win game to boost their hopes of making it to the knockout stage of the League of Legends World Championship 2020.
