North American esports organization Team Liquid has announced the signing of Brazil’s female Valorant roster that formerly competed under the banner of Gamelanders Purple.
The squad, namely Ana Beatriz “naxy” Gomes, Paola “drn” Caroline, Paula “bstrdd” Nagiul, Natália “daiki” Vilela, and Natália “nat1” Meneses, will don Liquid colors for the upcoming 2022 VCT Challengers and will play under the name of Team Liquid Brazil.
Having dominated the Brazilian circuit and picked up 16 trophies in 2021, the roster certainly has a lot of potential, and with a coach as dynamic as André “palestra” Gomes on the wheel, we might be looking at an equally successful 2022 if not a better one.
“We are so incredibly excited to have Team Liquid BR as Liquid Entertainment’s newest debut unit. They have worked incredibly hard on fine-tuning their skills and are ready to show the world just what they’re capable of.” said Steve Anarchet.
Liquid saw mixed success with their male Valorant roster and with a move like this, they are aiming to be more relevant than ever in the Valorant scene. The roster comes in right ahead of the 2022 season where there will be plenty more challenges to get ahead of, especially after the announcement of LAN events, though the rise in COVID cases may be a major setback.
The Brazilian squad won 13 tournaments with Protocolo: Evolução, Protocolo: Gêneses, and Copa Rakin Season 2 being some of them, besides making it to Top 32 at the VCT 2021 Brazil Stage Two Challengers Open Qualifiers is no easy feat.
With an organization like Liquid backing them, the roster will be on an uphill climb for great things.
