Riot Games confirms venues for 2019-2021 League of Legends World Championship

Developer Riot Games have confirmed the three locations for the League of Legends World Championship. The annual extravagant championship featuring some of the world’s best talent is now confirmed at least until 2021.

Each year, the competitive gaming community has their jaws-dropped at the record-breaking League of Legends World Championships. The viewership, the prize pool & the ceremonial juncture, everything sets the esports community ablaze. Now, the developer of League of Legends, Riot Games have given more reasons to celebrate. It has been confirmed by a report that the League of Legends World Championships will set its foot in three different locations in the consecutive years.

  • 2020 in China
  • 2021 in North America

League of Legends World Championship attracts millions of unique viewers every year. The recent figures of the 2017 installment were close to 57 million. The two-time winning (2014, 2017) champion roster SAMSUNG Galaxy from South Korea was acquired by KSV in 2017. They had won the 2017 prize pool of $1.5 million.
