According to popular League of Legends personality, Christopher Mykles aka MonteCristo, Riot Games are planning for a third League of Legends in 2024 along with the two already announced.
MSI and the Worlds are the two events that the entire League of Legends fanbase is looking forward to but a third event in the mix will make things more interesting for the players and the fans.
During the latest episode of his podcast ‘Last Free Nation’, Myjkes revealed that all regions will follow the LEC’s three-split system in 2024 because Riot Games is looking to “add another international event”.
The busier schedule might look enticing for the fans but players might not be as welcoming to it. Given the increased number of matches, players get less time between events which makes it difficult for the team to prepare and perform at the highest level.
As of now, we do not have any concrete information about any of the three aforementioned events but we can only assume it takes place after the Spring Split has concluded. Regardless, the back-to-back events would make the competition fierce and offer more chances for top teams to win trophies.
