One of India’s best FIFA players in Saransh Jain, who goes by the handle saranshjain7 has come out on top in FIFA GLOBAL SERIES South Asia Qualifiers, beating jenasid in a one-sided final.
With a $6000 prize pool, FGS 22 housed 41 players in Swiss Format, followed by a single-elimination play-offs. Four qualifiers over the course of the year will finally lead up to Global Series Playoffs where 2-4 players will represent Asia in the LAN Finals.
A great step forward for the M42 Esport’s star, who was a hot favourite heading into the first qualifier and he delivered in aces and spades. Cruising through the entire playoffs, Jain barely found an opponent to match him, making him the first Indian to win FGS 22 South Asia Qualifier. Along with $3500, the win will help Jain find a better seeding with 250 Global series points that will significantly help the odds of him qualifying to the next stage.
“Obviously it feels great to have won this huge tournament, have been working hard for this and it feels amazing to see it pay off, that being said this is only the start to an otherwise long season with lots of tournaments and qualifiers coming up, this gives me the confidence to go ahead and do better in the future, hopefully, I can keep this form up and keep winning,” said Saransh Jain, when we reached out for a statement.
