Man Killed and Police Officers Injured in Video Game Dispute

A 12-year-old resident of Northern Philadelphia who got into an argument with his dad over video game volume ended up calling 911 led his father, Michael Hwang to shoot and injure 3 police officers after shooting his uncle who got in between their argument.

The child managed to call 911 to report his father but by the time the cops arrived, he was waiting for them with a gun and vest. According to reports, he started shooting as soon as the cops arrived at their front door and was only stopped when he got fatally wounded by said cops and was later declared dead.

3 cops were injured in the gunfight but nothing was fatal while the child and his mother were rescued from the apartment unharmed however, the uncle was critically shot and had to be taken to hospital with no further updates on his condition.

“It is stunning, I thank God that (the officers) are okay. I thank them for their bravery and their desire to do this job which is very, very difficult, and I thank their families for the sacrifice they make,” Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said.

Hwang had a history of mental illness and reportedly used his firearm without any reason in the past which led to him seeing the inside of a courtroom. However, the community has expressed their condolence towards the child who lost his father in such a horrible way. The fact that all of this ensued a video game dispute is simply unimaginable.
