Australia’s Chiefs Esports Club is a prominent Oceania organisation with Counter-Strike, Rocket League and League of Legends rosters. The Chiefs have partnered with entertainment giant Marvel in Australia and New Zealand for two years. The historic and strategic partnership will follow terms similar to Team Liquid’s prior association.
“This is a historic partnership for video games and esports in our region that will redefine what can be achieved in the market and make a significant impact on video game and esports events moving forward,” said Nick Bobir, CEO of Chiefs Esports Club. “At The Chiefs, we are all about developing the next generation of gamers and fans of esports through creating these unique experiences. We will continue to raise the bar for esports in our region.”
The Chiefs’ players and influencers will ‘don co-branded merchandise’ and create content to integrate two brands for novel yet exceptional experience for fans. The partnership will incept at QV Gaming Dome in QV Melbourne between February 24 and March 15. The Chiefs further revealed that they will release limited edition co-branded merchandise with favourite Marvel characters.
Earlier this month, Australian organisation also partnered with Bond University as an ‘education partner’ for progression of local esport talent. In June 2019, North-America’s Team Liquid had also partnered with entertainment giants.
