Marvel Rivals Mid Season February Patch Notes: New Skins & Bug Fixes

Marvel Rivals released its most recent update on February 13, 2025 for its team-based PvP shooter game. The current mid-season maintenance releases multiple bug fixes in addition to fresh skins and gameplay upgrades. The update introduces no substantial balance modifications but establishes the foundation for the upcoming second part of Season 1 that begins February 21 with fresh heroes and a new map.

This update brings forth two brand-new outfits for Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman as its main attraction. The skins released by the game are named The Life Fantastic and they draw inspiration from The Wedding Special comic published in 2005-06. The costumes mark the 60th anniversary of Reed Richards and Sue Storm’s marital union. The skins are available for individual purchase or within the 60th Wedding Anniversary Combo Bundle package.

  • Mister Fantastic – The Life Fantastic: Priced at 2,200 Units, this bundle includes a costume, MVP animation, nameplate, spray, and emote.
  • Invisible Woman – The Life Fantastic: Also priced at 2,200 Units, it comes with similar rewards.
  • Combo Bundle: For 2,800 Units, players get both costumes, shared MVP animations, and additional nameplates, sprays, and emotes.

Bug Fixes and Gameplay Improvements

The February 13 patch addresses several bugs across platforms. Here are the key fixes:

  1. General Fixes:
    • High-end computers running the Bazzite (Linux) system no longer tap into low-quality UI resources.
  2. Maps and Gameplay:
    • Fixed an issue where KOs during overtime weren’t properly reflected in the KDA tab.
    • Corrected the Yggdrasill Path cart icon in the Convoy tutorial.
    • Resolved map collision issues that trapped players or allowed them to slip through walls.
  3. Hero Bug Fixes:
    • Doctor Strange: His portal can no longer be interrupted during placement if an allied Loki transforms into him.
    • Jeff the Land Shark: Bubbles can no longer sneak into enemy spawn rooms.
    • Iron Man: Arm models no longer disappear after activating Armor Overdrive.
    • Hulk & Wolverine: Fixed issues with their Team-Up Ability, ensuring smoother gameplay.
  4. Console Fixes:
    • Addressed PS controller drift in specific situations.

What’s Next for Marvel Rivals?

The second half of Season 1 begins on February 21, 2025. Players can expect new heroes, The Thing and Human Torch, along with a new map and balance adjustments. Originally, the developers planned a mid-season rank reset, but due to community feedback, this has been scrapped. Instead, ranks will drop by four divisions at the start of the second half.

The February 13 patch for Marvel Rivals focuses on improving the player experience with bug fixes and introducing stunning new skins. While it doesn’t shake up the competitive meta, it paves the way for the exciting updates coming later this month. Stay tuned for more news as Season 1 continues to unfold!
