Mecha BREAK Outshines Marvel Rivals in Beta Launch

The mech combat game, Mecha BREAK, developed by Amazing Seasun Games, has generated significant buzz, outperforming Marvel Rivals on Steam this past weekend. The game’s Global Storm Open Beta, launched on February 23rd, propelled it to impressive heights, reaching a peak of over 300,000 concurrent players. This surge in participation positioned Mecha BREAK as the fourth most-played game on the platform, a notable achievement for a title still in beta.

This strong showing on Steam bodes well for the official release of this mech-focused combat simulator. The beta launch, coupled with a recent 23-minute preview video and a new beta trailer, clearly resonated with gamers eager to experience the game’s unique blend of mech action. Mecha BREAK not only surpassed Marvel Rivals in concurrent players but also briefly led in 24-hour peak player counts. Currently, it maintains its position as the fourth most popular game on Steam and tops the trending games list on SteamDB.

While the influx of players demonstrates considerable interest in Mecha BREAK, the beta release hasn’t been without its challenges. A wave of negative reviews has emerged, with many users citing bugs and other technical issues.

Although the developers have clearly labeled the release as a beta version, a number of players have expressed frustration with the problems they’ve encountered.
