Microsoft to Acquire Valve for $16 Billion: Reports

Popular streamer Dior has revealed that Microsft is preparing an offer of $16 Billion to acquire the largest video game distribution service for PC i.e. Steam.

According to Dior, the offer comes in at a $80 Billion Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation for Valve where Microsft is preparing a $16 Billion offer that too all cash. Microsoft has always been focused on the gaming industry but never managed to penetrate it at a scale that it would have liked to acquiring Valve would be a move that does the trick.

The Xbox has always lagged behind Sony’s PlayStation and despite being the developer of the most popular OS in the world, Microsoft hasn’t exactly been successful in developing games for Windows either.

If there is any truth in these rumors we might see a complete shift in the gaming industry given Microsoft already hit the jackpot with the Xbox Game Pass and the idea of having Steam games under a subscription model would draw more subscribers than ever before.

Valve boasts a revenue of $13 Billion which would make the deal a bit difficult to go through at the current price point but given the amount in its entirety is the cash component, we might see Microsoft acquiring the company.
