With equality in mind, Minecraft’s 1.20 update has introduced seven new default character skins aimed at widening the array of cultural representations in the game.
The seven new skins will enable new players to more accurately represent themselves in the game without any skins or mods. Right off the bat, players will have access to 7 new skins besides the default one that has been with the game forever.
It cannot be said that Minecraft did not adequately represent the wide player that they have but it was mostly done by mods and skins. This is a direct step taken by the developer to increase the cultural involvement so new players feel properly represented.
The new skins hail from different races and genders making more room for people coming to the game. With its popularity increasing every day, new players are signing up for it and new skins will help with self-expression in more ways than one.
All of this will be a part of the Minecraft 1.20 update that will have more changes aimed to help with self-expression in the game. The launch date for it is still unknown however it is presumed it to make it to the game by the end of November.
