Mobalytics acquired by ESL FACEIT Group to Enhance Esports Analytics

In a strategic move to bolster its esports portfolio, ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), a leading esports company and tournament organizer, has acquired North American analytics platform Mobalytics. This acquisition, first reported by Esports Insider, aims to deepen EFG’s relationships with game developers and esports organizations, further solidifying its position in the industry.

Mobalytics – A Leader in Player Performance Analytics

Established in 2016, Mobalytics has become a prominent platform in the gaming community, offering visual tools and data to enhance player performance.

The platform supports titles such as League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, and Destiny 2, providing insights and personalized advice to gamers aiming to improve their skills. Notably, Mobalytics’ Gamer Performance Index (GPI) tracks in-game statistics and offers tailored recommendations to help players ‘level up’ their gameplay.

The acquisition aligns with ESL FACEIT Group’s strategy to expand its digital portfolio and integrate advanced analytics into its services. By operating Mobalytics as a standalone business, EFG plans to explore opportunities for integration across its existing product lines, potentially offering enhanced analytics to its user base.

This move also opens avenues for collaborations with game developers and esports organizations that have previously partnered with Mobalytics, including Bungie, T1, and Team Liquid.

EFG’s Ongoing Expansion Efforts

This acquisition is part of EFG’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in the esports industry. In 2023, EFG acquired Vindex, an esports technology and infrastructure company, to consolidate its leadership in the global esports market.

The integration of Mobalytics into EFG’s portfolio signifies a commitment to enhancing the esports experience through data-driven insights. As the industry continues to grow, such strategic acquisitions are poised to provide players, teams, and organizations with the tools needed to excel in competitive gaming.
