League Of Legends Wild Rift regional Open Beta is now live – Everything You Need To Know

League of Legends: Wild Rift Open Beta is now live for most of the Southeast Asian Region including Korea and Japan.

League of legends: Wild Rift has finally entered into its first regional open beta testing. League of Legends is a very highly regarded game in the MOBA genre and Wild Rift is the mobile version of this game. This game is one of the most awaited mobile game by the LOL enthusiasts and mobile gamers due its high quality content and development and the game is now publicly available for selective regions.

League of Legends: Wild Rift was announced around the Worlds 2019 ceremony and since then Riot Games was constantly working on the game which was expected to get fully launched by the end of 2020 but due to the prevailing pandemic, the rate of progress was slightly hampered. After a slight delay, a rough schedule on launches for various regions is officially out by the Riot Games and hopefully, the entire world will get to try their hands on Wild Rift before the 2021 Spring season.

League of Legends Wild Rift open beta details:

Wild Rift is the portable version of League of Legends that is currently set to enter open beta testing in the most of Southeast Asian region. The game was built from the scratch for preserving the authentic League experience on a mobile phone .Wild Rift is slightly different than the PC LOL with changes in ranking modes, lanes and game pacing but maintains the original aura of Summoner’s Rift and the beloved champions from League of Legends.

The game entered its first closed beta testing during during the mid September. The access was limited to a few players and the test ran for a short period of time after which, the game entered its second phase of testing with a larger region coverage. After these initial testing, Riot games announced that Wild Rift will start its very first open beta testing for seven regions. The following regions are included for the first batch of open beta testing:

  • Indonesia
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • Thailand

The list of second batch of regions which will get access to Wild Rift open beta before December are as follows:

  • Europe
  • Middle East
  • North Africa
  • Oceania
  • Russia
  • Taiwan
  • Turkey
  • Vietnam

The last region which will enter the testing will be Americas and India which are promised to be included before Spring 2021.

Wild Rift Open Beta Patch notes:

New Champions:

The first champion that was announced to enter the mobile Wild Rift realms is Lee Sin. One of the oldest champion in League of Legends will make a debut in Wild Rift Patch 1.0. Lee Sin brings a huge potential of outplays and excellent maneuvers that will leave your opponents baffled. Some of the iconic plays in the history of competitive League of Legends include Lee Sin and bringing such a champion makes the game more detailed and varied than earlier. It will be interesting to see how the mobility mechanisms of PC have been in mobile version. Lee Sin is not coming alone as two skins named Knockout and Muay Thai will also be added.

Six new champions will enter the playground alongside Lee Sin. These champions will be available for free for a week between 22nd October to 27th October. The test versions of these champions are getting released and players can expect a more stable version of them in the later stages. The champions that are getting added are as follows:

  • Akali, the Rogue Assassin
  • Darius, the Hand of Noxus
  • Draven, the Glorious Executioner
  • Evelynn, Agony’s Embrace
  • Kai’Sa, Daughter of the Void
  • Seraphine, the Starry-Eyed Songstress

In-game Rewards and Content:

Players from South Korea and Japan have an interesting opportunity to avail some free rewards from Riot Games. The game will hand out in-game rewards when players sign in from their pre-existing Riot Games ID. The rewards will be based on the players’ time and monetary investment in League of Legends on PC. For the rest of SEA region, players can create a new Riot ID if they don’t have any, and can expect some rewards till the end of this year.

New region based local content will be provided to every region on the road to open beta testing. The initiative titled as “Road to Wild Rift” will have influencer spotlights, guides, and community highlights which will add a silver lining to the game. The local tailored content for Korea was a big hit when the League of Legends Star Faker debuted in a Wild Rift Ad alongside his teammate Teddy.

With so many exhilarating additions, Wild Rift is on its way to become a big hit in the entire world, following the footsteps of another Riot Games title, Valorant.
