The controversy stemmed from an alleged remark made by GodLike Esports’ CEO Kronten, who seemingly referred to MortaL as a “dead player,” insinuating that he had abandoned esports. In response to this controversy, MortaL took to his YouTube channel with a live stream titled “Dead Player is Back,” where he addressed the issue head-on.

During the live stream, MortaL not only tackled the controversy but also made a heartfelt apology to his fans for his departure from the competitive gaming scene. He stated, “I’m sorry, guys. Sorry I couldn’t continue esports. But that was the reason I was able to, along with Goldy Bhai and Thug, give you S8UL Esports. You have to lose something in order to win something else.”

This admission resonated deeply with MortaL’s fanbase, who had supported him throughout his gaming journey. It showcased his humility and the sacrifices he had made for the greater good, namely the establishment of S8UL Esports.

S8UL Esports, Indian’s one of the most successful esports and gaming organization, was co-founded by MortaL, along with Lokesh “Goldy” Jain and Animesh “Thug” Agarwal.
