Popular Youtuber Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast has claimed that India is the second largest country among its viewers falling only behind the USA.
This conclusion of his is largely derived from his YouTube audience. Having crossed the 100 Million subscribers mark just a few months ago. He is clearly one of the most followed social media giants.
MrBeasts content can be easily consumed by large demography as well as geography, thus racking up a large number of potential viewers for every video of his. It is safe to say that only a handful of people on YouTube are more influential than him. For someone like him to acknowledge the potential of the Indian audience speaks for itself.
“India, definitely. Our Indian audience is just absurd. So, it’s like, our audience is America, then India, and then, I think UK, Canada, then, like, what is it? Philippines, right?” he said when asked about fans from outside his vicinity.
“YouTube gets more views per month from India than they do in America. Like, India is YouTube’s largest audience.”
“But it’s like there’s 1.3 billion people in India, there’s only 300 million in America, so, like, even if everyone in America watched 10 videos a day, if only half the people in India watched like seven videos, they’d still get more views”
MrBeast has labeled India to be a “juggernaut” and did emphasize that their large population is a big part of why they are able to dominate as an audience in large. For his Indian audience, MrBeast has filed a video in India which is supposed to go up soon!
