In an undesirable condition to invite a controversy, MSI India’s Facebook page managed to spark one by mentioning AMD cards are subpar with Nvidia.
Unknowingly, it was enough to become an international news. So much so that the official representatives had to delete the original comment and apologize for the shared views.
Nvidia is at the center of controversy since the announcement of their GeForce Partner Program. Multiple aired reports suggest their Partner Program violates consumer policies and encourages monopolistic trades. A different opinion from Nvidia projected this move as to ‘serve gamers better.’
OEM or Original Equipment Manufacturers are the companies who make the product which is further marketed by different manufacturers. In this case, MSI, an OEM for both Nvidia & AMD indulged into partiality against the latter.
It is, however, arguably that Nvidia products are indeed more powerful and sustainable than that of their rival AMD.
That apart, this is also not a good example of a professional representation of the company’s second-tier GPU branding, ARMOR, which still contains the Radeon GPU stack. It is also puzzling to note that the company’s the lewd remarks about the AMD brand appeared on MSI’s official page for over 24 hours. Attracting more hatred and international coverage from all across the journals.
In the defense of a larger aired controversy of the GeForce Partners Program, Nvidia had earlier mentioned their intentions to be transparent.
“The GeForce Partner Program is designed to ensure that gamers have full transparency into the GPU platform and software they’re being sold, and can confidently select products that carry the NVIDIA GeForce promise,” Nvidia wrote in a blog post.
