NA VCT Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) 2022: Schedule, Format and Brackets

The second and the final masters of the year, VCT Masters Copenhagen, concluded on Sunday with FunPlus Phoenix winning the Copenhagen trophy against Paper Rex. We are all set to watch Valorant Champions. 

But before that, we need the last six participants of Valorant Champions, which would be found through VCT LCQ.

Optic Gaming and XSET have already booked their ticket to Istanbul through Circuit Points and would be all set to make an impact, while the winner of VCT NA LCQ would occupy the last spot for North America.

LCQ or Last Chance Qualifiers are yearly region-wise Valorant Champions qualifiers where the top eight or top 10 teams from the region battle it out to fill out the last spot at Champions.

This year, For NA, After the qualification of Optic gaming AND XSET, The top eight teams remaining are as follows:

  • The Guard (Sayaplayer, Trent, JonahP, neT, Valyn)
  • Shopify Rebellions (ex- Luminosity Gaming: TiGG, bdog, dazzle, mada, moose)
  • Faze Clan (supamen, POISED, dicey, BABYBAY, flyuh)
  • NRG esports (hazed, s0m, tex, eeiu, Ethan)
  • 100 Thieves (Asuna, stellar, Will, Derrek, bang)
  • Evil Geniuses (Boostio, C0M, Reformed, jawgemo, Apoth)
  • Cloud9 Blue (Vanity, leaf, Xeppa, mitch, curry)
  • Sentinels (Shazam, Dapr, Tenz, Shroud, Zellsis)

These eight teams would battle it out in a double elimination bracket tournament, with the top seed taking on the bottom seed in the first match of the LCQ, starting with Shroud’s comeback in the competitive scene against The Guard.

Only one of these eight teams would qualify for Istanbul and join Optic Gaming and XSET. Apart from being one of the most crucial tournaments, this also marks the comeback of Shroud and would surely be one of the most excited and watched tournaments for Valorant. 

The bracket for the LCQ looks like the below:

All the matches start at 01:00 PM PT and would span for two weeks, with all the matches being Best of three with the exceptions of the lower finals and Grand finals which would be a best of five. All the matches would be online, and players would play them from their respective Bootcamp. 

 You can watch the tournament on the Valorant Twitch and Youtube Channel. Another way to watch would be the watch parties of streamers yet to be announced, but Tarik would be one of them.

VCT NA LCQ would also mark the last leg of the Valorant Champions Tour, which is all set to conclude in Istanbul, Turkey, with Valorant Champions Starting September 2nd.
