Professional Basketball player and NBA star Ben Simmons has joined FaZe Clan as an investor and member under the tag “Faze Simmo”. The 24-year-old Philadelphia 76ers forward seems to possess an avid interest in gaming itself.
“Gaming is an important part of my life, and so it was a natural progression to personally invest in this industry,” Simmons said in a statement. “FaZe Clan represents the pinnacle of the gaming culture, and I am really looking forward to connecting with new fans around the globe.”
FaZe Clan has welcomed Simmons through a tweet which included a video of him playing.
Simmons had previously been seen with Faze Clan members and wearing Faze gear, but with him investing in and joining the team, they’ve decided to make things official. He has almost 50k followers on Twitch, and used to regularly stream Call of Duty: Warzone in his channel about two months ago.
