New CSGO Zombie Game Scam Method Involving Fake Items is Tricking Players

Scammers are using a new method to trick players with fake CSGO items.

A new scamming method has recently surfaced in the Steam community, and if you’re not aware, it may cost you thousands of dollars in CSGO skins over a single trade.

This new method uses fake CSGO skins to trick unsuspecting players into trading their real skins, which, needless to say, cost way more than their fake counterparts.

Wondering how this is possible? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Apparently, the root of it lies in a game that’s available for about $3 on the Steam store. The game, called ‘Zombie Game’, features fake CSGO skins that look deceptively similar to the actual skins found in the competitive shooter by Valve.

This new system of scamming was brought to light by ‘ohnePixel’ on Twitter. He shared the news with an attached screenshot of the fake skins in the trade.

Having a hard time figuring out which ones are fake? You’re not alone. Any CSGO fan would face difficulties identifying the fake skins in the trade because they look so similar to the actual skins.

The fake skins turn out to be the Karambit Dopplers that are not from CSGO, but from Zombie Game instead. These Dopplers, unlike the ones from CSGO, cost almost nothing.

To save yourself from being scammed like this, always remember to double-check your trades when trading expensive items.

Scammers will undoubtedly keep coming up with more and more ways to rip you off your hard-earned money. The best thing you can do to avoid being scammed is to actively stay aware and take extra caution in choosing who to trade with.

Remember to spread awareness among your fellow CSGO fans regarding this new scamming method. A little extra effort from your side can go a long way in saving fellow fan thousands of dollars in CSGO skins.
