Neymar banned from Twitch for sharing Richarlison’s number on Live Stream

Neymar is the latest superstar to face the less-appreciated side of Twitch, as the Amazon-owned streaming platform hands the Brazilian his first ban for an untraditional reason.

Ever since the corona outbreak, training sessions for athletes have been cut short, meaning more time for players to spend in their homes. The likes of Christian Pulisic, Mesut Ozil, and many more have been religiously streaming to escape boredom.

Neymar is one of the players to enjoy streaming, turns to broadcast his gameplay on Twitch every day. In his last stream, the PSG forward was careless enough to spill out the phone number of his international teammate Richarlison de Andrad.

Leaking personal information of others, such as phone numbers and residential addresses is labeled as a punishable offense according to Twitch guidelines.

Twitch doesn’t share any specifics regarding the bans they hand out, and they remain persistent on the trend with Neymar’s case. His return date is still up for guessing and judging by the clean record he boasts, the ban is most likely to be a temporary one.

Neymar’s animated personality on stream has earned him his 800000 followers. Other than just gameplay, he brings over fans from Football which is considered as more of a traditional sport to the esports scene, thus helping it grow.

Neymar is quite skilled for a casual player and combining it with his enlivening personality makes his stream an absolute joy to watch. We hope Neymar is allowed to be back on Twitch as soon as possible.
