Nike signs $1bn merchandising deal with League of Legends Professional League – LPL

According to multi-party media news, League of Legends Professional League (LPL) issued an official apparel announcement to the clubs in the league.

The announcement said that LPL has reached a strategic cooperation with an international first-line sports brand. In the new season, the brand will provide clothing, accessories, and shoes for representatives of all club members, coaches, team leaders, translators, and analysts.

As a member of the alliance, all clubs are subject to a new agreement between the alliance and the brand on team uniforms.

On the afternoon of the 19th, several sources close to LPL and Nike confirmed to Lazy Bear Sports that the “international first-line sports brand” in the announcement was Nike.

At present, the basic cooperation intentions of both parties have been reached, and Nike will receive the total naming rights of the LPL Alliance uniforms. Earlier reports on the Internet said that Nike is expected to spend 1 billion yuan to sign a five-year contract with LPL.
