NIP beat Alliance to win Starladder Minor #2, both teams qualify for Epicenter Major

Over the last week , 8 teams battled It out in Kiev,Ukraine for 2 spots at the Epicenter Major and 3,00,000 $ in prize money.

8 teams were divided into 2 groups of 4, and they played out a GSL format best of three group stage, after which 2 teams were eliminated from each group.
The ones to fall in the group stage were Winstrike, Mineski, EHOME and Team Complexity.EHOME getting eliminated at the hands of Team Anvorgesa was a huge upset, given that the fans considered them as one of the favourites to win the entire event.

Team Anvorgesa from South America was the surprise package of the tournament, they finished in a respectable 4th position, earning a lot of love, praise and respect from the DOTA Community and players alike.

Although Alliance beat Ninjas in Pyjamas in the upper bracket final, NIP learnt from the game and came back to beat Alliance 3-2 in the grand final of the Minor.

Since 2 slots for the major were up for grabs, both the finalists had already qualified for the major.

Kiev Minor Final Standings:

The next event in the DPC season is the EpicenterMajor, which will be held in Moscow, Russia from June 22-30 at the CSKA Arena.

14 of the world’s top teams will be joined by Ninjas in Pyjamas and Alliance, to battle it out in the last major before The International.
