NiP beat Astralis on Overpass, 16-7, to go 2-0 in their first two matches, while liquid defeated cloud9 on Inferno 16-4, in their BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen Opener.
Ninjas in Pyjamas, won the first 12 rounds of the game on Overpass. However, Astralis got their first win on 13th round, thanks to Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, who won a crucial one-vs-two clutch against Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson and Simon “twist” Eliasson.
For a moment, NiP probably felt like they are about to lose the game. But the Ninjas had such a huge lead to work with that Astralis’ efforts were in vain.
Liquid gave an immaculate performance on the Counter-Terrorist side. They ran all over the Cloud9 aggression to race to a 13-2 lead.
In the second half, Liquid won their T-side pistol with ace from Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, and the subsequent anti-eco. However, Cloud9 reacted in second half by winning 2 rounds, but that was not enough to stop Liquid, who won anti-eco round to seal the deal, 16-4.
NiP will face FaZe today at 18:30 IST. Whereas, Astralis will try to step up today against Team Liquid at 18:30 IST.
