Simon “twist” Eliasson has joined NiP, following the departure of Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund. Twist is a proven AWPer who somewhat took over the role during his tenure with Fnatic but he has been on the bench for them since August.
The 24-year-old will be looking forward to enter this phase of his career with apex form. After countless rumours the deal has finally gone through, he will be integrated into the team as a primary AWPer.
The following statement was included in the official announcement, while twist answered questions about his role:
The internationally proven top tier 24-year-old will be wielding the AWP for his new team, providing a stable foundation for our players and coaching staff to build new strategies on. Simon, with his experience and maturity, also brings a calming presence to the server which is often underestimated as a factor in a team’s success.
