To the surprise of Valorant fans across the globe, the #1 ranked EU Valorant pro ‘NisaY’ has been banned from the competitive shooter by Riot Games for cheating during a ranked game.
The temporary ban that was delivered today will remain in effect for twelve months.
This implies that he won’t be able to participate in the upcoming VCT open qualifiers.
Nisay, however, has denied all the allegations against him through a Tweet posted shortly afterwards.
“I’m not so stupid enough to cheat just because I am Radiant in a competitive match,” Nisay said in his Twitlonger.
He further claimed that Riot banned him under “community pressure” and that they didn’t show any evidence to support the cheating accusations.
“If they had actually detected that I was cheating, a permanent ban would have been applied,” Nisay continued.
Following the decision, Nisay was removed from his team Beşiktaş Esports, and his contract was terminated.
After the Nisay’s departure, their current lineup includes:
- Tuğkan ‘tugkanZ’ Özgün
- Burak ‘foiz’ Baz
- Kaan ‘Brasco’ Elver
- Ayberk ‘Viresse’ Serin
