Nodwin Gaming Host under scanner for allegedly uttering obscene remarks in a CSGO game

Stream of invective and obscenity was visible in a CSGO game, where one of them is believed to be the famous ESL caster who goes by the in-game nick "Krat."

One of India’s faces in esports community is under scanner for allegedly hurling obscene remarks in a CSGO game. The gentleman in question, is at the center of criticism after a CSGO game where he and his lobby mates sledged and conversed in the most invective manner possible.

UPDATE: Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki has apologized, read full post here.

UPDATE 2: NODWIN Gaming have terminated Mannu Karki, read full post here.

Not that sledging, or hurling abuses is new to the community, except, in this specific case, the accused is an influencer, believed to be Nodwin Gaming’s host, Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki.

Two days ago, on the 18th of April, in a game of CSGO, the following course of events is believed to have happened, demo is available for everyone to download and investigate. Rushant Malhotra, one of the players accusing Mannu Karki of the remarks made a post on Facebook community, CS:GO India and alleged that his team was verbally abused and threatened.

Rushant Malhotra says, the abuses went so beyond absurdity that at one point they started “threatening to kidnap his family members.” Mr. Malhotra shared with us his traumatic experience and ironically, he has himself worked at Nodwin Gaming as volunteer administrator at one of its major events.

All of these started just spontaneously Rushant says, and no provocation was made by their team to any of the opponents.

Allegations towards Nodwin Gaming, Krat

Rushant says, “to abuse me and my family members, they were using my private information like my residential address, which was only available with Nodwin Gaming.”

At this point, Rushant was clear it was indeed someone from Nodwin Gaming, but he wasn’t sure just yet. Upon digging another further, he found that the Steam account of the abuser had one of the alias, which Mannu Karki indeed uses, ‘OfficialKrat.’

The current profile is completely edited and all the nicknames are removed as it looks right now.
The proofs given by Mr. Rushant Malhotra, in which one of alias KrAt, OfficialKrat is clearly visible.

There are umpteen numbers of proofs at our disposal as well, that the gentleman in question appears to be Mr. Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki, beyond a reasonable doubt. However, his official instagram account responded to one of the questions as “Fake.”

Mannu ‘Krat’ Karki is a renowned host and a caster at Nodwin Gaming, he has been a former CSGO and DotA player before joining the likes of Talents at tournament organizers. Whereas, Nodwin Gaming is officially partnered with ESL, Tencent & Blizzard for events in India.

Nirbhaya remark

The incident took a totally wild turn when one of the accused’s lobby mates which goes by the nick “Landkarado” used a sexual abuse to target the family of one Mr. Vaibhav Lakhera. The person behind the nick “LandKarado” made a remark that he will hurt Vaibhav’s family members and “make them victim like Nirbhaya,” (sentence re-framed to curb the absurdity).

The reference of Nirbhaya is shocking to say the least considering the anger and dismay it stirred among the sentiments of the country as a whole.

The state of rape crimes in India is on the surge, and the fact that gamers use this to threaten opponents is beyond absurdity.

SoStronk bans both the parties

It is also imperative to note that the platform SoStronk, where this game was being played, has banned the account in question alongside one of the guys from the other team. The details of the PUG is available on this link.

Mr. Rushant Malhotra, Vaibhav Lakhera, along with their team at least expects from Nodwin Gaming, as an organization at this point of time, is an unconditional apology, and a stern, substantial action against the accused.

At the time of writing this story, no response from emails to Mannu Karki were received. We will update it once we get a statement.

Some of the screenshots, proofs provided to us are obscene in nature and as a responsible outlet, we will not be making them public.
