NRG Valorant Coach Chet Considering CS2 Return Following 6-Month Suspension From VCT

Chet “Chet” Singh, the head coach behind the NRG Valorant roster, is considering returning to Counter-Strike 2 following his recent suspension from the VCT.

For the uninitiated, the 28-year-old was banned from participating in the VCT for six months, as confirmed by Riot Games in a ruling earlier today. As per the official ruling, Chet “violated Riot Games Global Esports Code of Conduct for broadcasting VoDs whose access was contingent on current status as head coach of a VCT team,” which has resulted in his temporary suspension.

Initially, Chet expressed his disagreement with Riot Games via an X post and said that he will continue streaming until the ban expires in March 2025.

A few hours later, Chet confirmed in a follow-up post that he will be exploring his options in CS2.

“With recent news I’m going to be exploring my options in CS2, if any teams are interested next year after the major DMs are open,” his statement reads.

He further confirmed that he isn’t bidding farewell to Valorant just yet, and is still open to opportunities once his suspension ends.

In the past, we saw Chet coaching several prominent North American CS teams between 2016 and 2020, finding remarkable success during his stints with Evil Geniuses and NRG.

CS2 fans will undoubtedly be looking forward to seeing Chet’s return to the Valve shooter in the future.
