The long wait is finally over! After several months of playing with high latencies in South-East Asian servers, Indian Valorant players now have their home servers to play the game in.
Through a tweet today, Riot has officially confirmed the release date of the launch of Mumbai servers in Valorant.
The Mumbai servers will be launched at the same day of the release of Act 3 and alongside the launch of Middle Eastern and North African servers. The Indian servers will be a part of the SEA shard in Valorant, and players from the following countries will be automatically matched in Indian servers from now on:
- India
- Bangladesh
- Sri Lanka
- Nepal
- Bhutan
- Maldives
Pakistan, however, will be matched in Bahrain (Middle East) servers. In case you’re from Pakistan and you get lower pings on Indian servers than Middle Eastern ones, you can use the upcoming “Server Selection” feature to select Indian servers for queuing.
Riot has also confirmed that no account or ID transfers would be needed to switch regions to the newly implemented servers.
Valorant Act 3 will hit the servers in only a few hours from now, and it will bring a bunch of changes to the competitive shooter. You can read all about the new Act here.
