OG wins TI9, Brings Home over $15m in winnings

European-based Dota 2 outfit, OG, has won this year’s edition of the Dota 2 International Championships (TI 9). As winners, the team brings home the lion’s share of the $34.5 million prize pool, bringing home a cool $15 million.

The grand final match saw OG demolish European outfit Liquid 3-1. Liquid, also a tournament favourite, missed the opportunity to be the first Dota 2 outfit to lift Aegis twice. Nonetheless, the team brings home $4.4 million as the second-placed team.
