It’s that exciting time of year for Overwatch fans, as the new season kicks off alongside the Winter Wonderland celebrations.
Overwatch 2’s season 14 brings a new hero into the mix, along with a fantastic array of winter-themed skins returning for the beloved limited-time Winter Wonderland event, a favorite among fans since the original game’s launch in 2016.

Hazard
This season introduces the latest tank, Hazard, who takes center stage in this new chapter. The hefty Scottish character officially debuts with the season after a playtest from November 22 to 25, which allowed Blizzard to gather player feedback and make adjustments to his balance before the release. Hazard features purple spikes, an arm cannon, and a variety of skills designed to shake up the gameplay.
A hero balancing patch
Expect a balancing overhaul for existing heroes and roles, including buffs for those Blizzard sees as underperforming, as well as tweaks for those considered too strong. With each new season comes a shift in the meta, and season 14 is sure to bring its own changes.
Winter Wonderland
As snow falls gently, presents are tucked beneath the tree, and a flurry of Meis hurl snowballs at each other, it can only mean one thing: December has arrived. The return of Winter Wonderland brings back limited-time game modes like Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, Freeze Flash, and more, along with the cutest skins making a comeback in the store.
A brand new battle pass
A new themed battle pass will offer fresh rewards, including skins, emotes, sprays, highlight intros, and of course, a brand-new Mythic skin along with Mythic Prisms for players to enhance their growing collections.
An all-new collaboration
With collaborations featuring LE SSERAFIM, Porsche, One Punch Man, Transformers, and others, OW2 has seen an impressive array of partnerships. Season 14 is expected to introduce another collaboration, though the details are still under wraps.
