Paper Rex Signs Monyet To Its Valorant Roster For VCT 2024 Season

Valorant Pacific League Franchise team Paper Rex has officially announced the signing of Cahya ‘Monyet’ Nugraha, the former Valorant player for Global Esports, for the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2024 Season. The transfer deal between Paper Rex and Global Esports marks a significant moment for both organizations and the promising 18-year-old talent, Monyet. His arrival reshapes the team dynamic, positioning him as the youngest member on the squad.

Paper Rex’s Valorant Roster For VCT 2024 Season

Paper Rex has set the stage for the VCT 2024 season with the addition of Monyet to its Valorant roster. The roster for the 2024 season includes the following player:

  • Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee
  • Ilia “something” Petrov
  • Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto
  • Aaron “mindfreak” Leonhart
  • Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha
  • Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie
  • Alexandre “alecks” Sallé – Head Coach

Monyet’s journey to Paper Rex started after his tenure with Global Esports, where he spent ten months contributing significantly to the team’s competition in São Paulo and Seoul. A former Duelist-turned-Controller, Monyet consistently ranked as the top-performing player during his time with Global Esports.

Monyet cemented his name into the Valorant history books by setting a new VCT record for the most kills in a single LAN map. During a memorable match against Korean powerhouse DRX, he amassed an astonishing 39 kills over 32 rounds, even though his team narrowly lost in overtime, 15-17.

Returning to familiar territory, Monyet is eager to take his playing career to new heights with Paper Rex. This move reunites him with fellow Indonesian players, Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto and Aaron “mindfreak” Leonhart.

Despite his recent role as GE’s primary Controller in the 2023 season, there are no concerns of role overlap with mindfreak, as Monyet predominantly played as a Duelist agent during his time with his former team ONIC. However, it will be interesting to see how his addition will work out in the team.
