David Dobrik has been at the center of several controversies in recent times that have eventually tarnished his reputation leading PewDiePie to call him “shady” on a live stream referring to the claims of sexual harassment.
Dobrik was recently accused of sexual harassment by a former team member Seth Francois which they denied. He argued that Francois gave his consent for the “kissing prank”. Francois claims that David forced him into a role in his video though Scotty Sire has shared proof suggesting that the former member is altering the facts.
“[He] seems hella shady, dude,”. “I don’t know much about David, but… my radar flicks up a bit. I kind of got the same feeling about him as I got from Logan Paul when not everyone hated Logan Paul,” said PewDiePie.
“Don’t get me wrong. His videos are really entertaining. But he always gave me that weird [vibe]. How is he able to get away with all this sh*t?’ He’s doing so much weird sh*t. If I did that, I’d be canceled. How is he doing it?” he added.
Being the biggest individual YouTuber, PewDiePie’s opinion definitely counts, and to say that he thinks David is shady, pits a significant part of the community against him. Though he has enough reason to call him shady, given the fact that several former Vlog Squad members have called David Dobrik out for a toxic work environment.
