PewDiePie to stop accepting donations while streaming

The YouTube star expressed his disinterest in accepting donations during today’s stream.

Following the decisions of big Twitch streamers Imane “Pokimane” Anys and Tyler “tyler1” Steinkamp to cap their channels’ donation limits at $5, YouTube star Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg announces his decision to stop accepting donations entirely during his livestreams.

The announcement comes during his Hades stream on November 5th. When one of his viewers inquired on how they could donate to him, he explained that he wouldn’t be accepting his viewers’ money in the form of donations anymore.

“It was actually when I did my ‘donating to Twitch streamers’ video that made me realize just how weird it is to donate money to people,” Pewds said.

For the unaware, a few weeks ago, the YouTuber published a video which showed him donating to streamers on Twitch.
