PUBG Mobile Esports will be touring for the first time this year as PUBG Mobile Global Championship will be hosted in two different countries. The organizers recently announced that they are hosting the PMGC League Stage in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.
PMGC 2022 has introduced some new changes to the format of the tournament. This allows teams to maneuver differently around the esports tournament and here is everything you need to know about it.
The major change about PMGC League Stage this year is that it is split into three stages namely Group Stage, Survival Stage, and Last Chance. The Group Stage will take place from November 10th to 27th and will split 48 teams into three groups.
The top 3 from each group will advance directly to the PMGC Grand Finals, and the bottom 4 teams will be eliminated. The remaining teams will enter the Survival stage and will fight for the top sixteen spot of Last Chance.
The Last Chance will be held on December 3rd and 4th and will provide the final pathway for top 4 teams heading to the PMGC Grand Finals. The exact distribution is as follows:
Group Stage Qualification Condition
- 1st – 3rd -> PMGC Grand Finals
- 4th – 11th -> Survival Stage
- 12th – 16th -> Eliminated
Survival Stage Qualification Condition
- 1st – 16th -> Last Chance
- 17th – 24th -> Eliminated
Last Chance Qualification Condition
- 1st – 4th -> PMGC Grand Finals
- 5th – 16th -> Eliminated
A total of 13 teams will qualify for the grand final with three teams being invited for this main event. It has a massive prize pool of $4 million and teams will try their best to get into the final event.
