Pokimane might switch to YouTube for this one reason

Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys held the fame for being the number 1 female streamer on Twitch but there’s one thing that might motivate her to leave the Amazon owned streaming service for YouTube.

Streamer leaving Twitch for YouTube is nothing surprising at this point and given her fame, YouTube Gaming will likely offer an exclusive streaming deal in a heartbeat but that would mean giving up her audience over at Twitch. Many streamers have done the same and are quite successful, Valkyrae, CouRageJD to name a few.

While Pokimane already has a YouTube channel, she chooses to stream on Twitch on a daily basis. Her YouTube channel boasts over 6 million subscribers, a number that will definitely blow up if she streams on a regular basis.

There are several reasons behind streamers switching to YouTube from Twitch but there is one particular perk that YouTube has over Twitch that excites Pokimane. While Twitch is a gaming-centric platform, YouTube houses content of every kind making it more mainstream than its Amazon counterpart, YouTube Gaming is seamlessly integrated into YouTube in a way that benefits the gamers who choose to live stream there.

“Two years ago, when I had to first choose between Twitch and YouTube, you know what I decided off of? Not which platform would give me more money. Not which platform was nicer to me. But which platform I would have more f**king fun on!” said Anys.

The mainstream audience of YouTube will expose Pokimane to a wider range of viewers where she will be able to post content of sorts besides gaming. Her statement had an inclination of her going on a world tour and vlogging her journey which she will put up on YouTube.
