Pokimane real name, origin & total following

Pokimane (Imane Anys) is a popular internet personality who is known for playing titles such as Fortnite, League of Legends, Among Us, and Rust and is a founder/member of the OfflineTV group. She was born on 14 May 1996 and is of Moroccan descent but currently resides in Canada. While she primarily streams on Twitch, she is also a YouTuber and has two channels. Pokimane currently has a multi-year exclusivity deal with Twitch.

Pokimane Origins: Pokimane’s rise to fame

Imane started streaming in 2013 where she would spend countless hours streaming League of Legends, a MOBA game developed by Riot games. In addition to streaming games, she also hosted chat streams where she would interact with her viewer and dropped out of university where she was studying chemical engineering to focus on her streaming career which was growing rapidly. 

By 2017 she became one of the most followed streamers on the platform and had garnered 400k+ followers. She started playing Fortnite shortly after its release and is one of the contributors to its popularity but stopped due to issues with stream sniping. In 2018, Imane won the Twitch Streamer of the Year award because of her channel’s sudden rise in growth and even went on to become one of the ambassadors for TwitchCon in the same year.

In 2021 Forbes branded her as the largest female streamer on Twitch.


Pokimane has also collaborated with various personalities, notably with U.S representatives Illhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and streamers PewDiePie, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and rapper T-Pain.

Pokimane has 7.2 million followers on her Twitch channel with a total of 152 million views.

Her primary YouTube channel has 6.41 million subscribers with a total of 546 million views while her ASMR channel has 748k subscribers and 93 million views. Her most popular YouTube video is currently at 15 million views which is a highlight of her Fortnite stream. She also has a huge fan following on social media platforms Twitter and Instagram, having 3 million and 5.6 million followers respectively.
