Pokimane reveals the huge financial costs of hiring people to work for her

Imane “Pokimane” Anys is one of the most iconic Twitch streamers and the face of women streamers on Twitch. Ranked at #7 on Twitch with over 5 million followers, the Moroccan Canadian streamer is renowned for her gaming and Just Chatting streams.

Recently, in an interview with YouTuber Graham Stephan, Pokimane has revealed the insane financial costs that are associated with being a top Twitch streamer.

When asked by Stephan about the number of people working for her “behind the scenes,” Pokimane gave fans an idea about the total monthly costs she has to spend on all her employees.

Pokimane mentioned that she used to hire editors for “one video” at a time, which later transformed to her requiring full-time editors, and a few years later she had to hire a manager to all those editors. “I can’t spend all that time reviewing videos, telling people what to make videos about, reviewing thumbnails,” Pokimane said. “ I still have oversight on everything so I’m in all the conversations, but I have someone else actively giving that feedback.”

She then explained that she has also hired a manager to deal with companies, “I have hired a manager in general, which is someone I delegate tasks to, and that communicates with companies. They are mainly managing my day-to-day and my liaison for other companies, so I’m not the one responding to every email.”

Pokimane then proceeded to reveal her business expenses on all her employees, which might be shocking at first. “Business expense by far is what I spend most of my income on,” Pokimane said. “Probably like $10-20k a month just paying other people out.”

She further added to this already complex list by saying, “I forgot to mention, but I also now have like a business manager, which is just someone who handles all my finances including paying all the people I mentioned.” She also mentioned having an investment advisor to set up meetings with investment firms.

Graham Stephan has compiled this list of employees under Pokimane into a chart which he has included in his YouTube video.
