Pokimane reveals TikTok locked her Twitter account

Pokimane has been on the receiving end of a bizarre DMCA takedown that got the internet questioning about the regulations guarding digital media content creators.

In the recent Tweet by pokimane, she revealed that she was locked out of her Twitter account over a tweet and a TikTok clip she shared earlier.

Two DMCA notices were served to her where one was for a tweet that read “i love girls” while the other was one of her TikTok clips where she can be seen dancing to Doja Cat’s “say so”.

These were shared back in January but Twitter didn’t care to hand a band until the end of the year.

According to reports, the strike was not issued on the behave of any content creator, rather it was TikTok themselves where the video originated from.

This sparked controversy as not until now that pokimane has received a ban over sharing her own content.

Given the nature of the strike, the internet sided with Canadian, showing her support all over Twitter.

With how harsh the DMCA regulations are getting, not just pokimane but every content creator around should get extra cautious over the content they create as a second of infringing material can hand them long-lasting bans from most of the platforms.

Strikes are getting more common than they used to be and too many of them might get you permanently banned from the platform where it is issued.
