Follower her ban from the Amazon-owned streaming service, Pokimane is once again ready to stream after 48 hours away from Twitch.
Pokimane was handed a DMCA takedown after things went south while hosting a watch party for Avatar: The Last Airbender. Her channel was quickly suspended with a 48 hour ban, to no one’s surprise, despite her taking measures to evade it.
Certain content cannot be shared during a live stream for the nature of the copyright laws surrounding them, given other platforms/production houses do not approve of any unauthorized broadcast of their material. Such content is protected under DMCA that prevents any unauthorized use and is punishable if violated.
In no time, Pokimane is back on Twitch and promises to explain the situation on her next stream. No one can argue against the ban, not even Pokimane that the ban was unjust by any means and this serves as a warning for every streamer on Twitch planning something similar.
Calling this a “react meta” Pokimane has tried her best to diffuse the sitatuion and falling back to her regular routine. A statement is expected from her in her next stream where she is supposed to “elaborate on the situation”.
