It has already been a year since Riot Games’ tactical shooter Valorant was initially launched, and it’s still rocking the video gaming community with over 14 million monthly active players.
With Episode 3 of Valorant just around the corner, it seems like Riot Games will be looking to make some serious changes to the shooter. Other than the introduction of a new skin collection or the highly anticipated new agent, recent findings by a Valorant dataminer has revealed that the price of the existing guns in Valorant might be taking a hit.
This might come as a surprise for many avid Valorant fans, but a total of 9 weapons in Valorant are expected to experience a decrease in price.
These skins are:
- Frenzy : 500 >>> 450
- Stinger : 1100 >>> 950
- Bucky: 900 >>> 850
- Judge: 1600 >>> 1850
- Bulldog: 2100 >>> 2050
- Guardian: 2400 >>> 2250
- Marshall: 1000 >>> 950
- Operator: 5000 >>> 4700
- Ares: 1600 >>> 1550
The most interesting price drop among all these is perhaps the Operator, which had its cost increased from 4,500 to 5,000 Credits not too long ago.
These changes can potentially bring the Operator, alongside several other skins in the list, back to the competitive meta.
While the exact date of these price drops aren’t clear as of yet, it can be expected that they’ll be implemented at the same time the Episode 3 update goes live.
