PUBG Mobile Esports planned to host their best event of the year, PUBG Mobile Global Championship Season 0 Grand Finals, in a localized environment so the most prominent teams from around the world flew to Dubai to participate in this tournament but unfortunately, it was taken to online mode after three players tested positive to COVID-19. The names were not released during the proceedings of this tournament but later on, Bigetron Esports confirmed that their star duo; Zuxxy and Luxxy; were the ones who were infected during the time period.
Zuxxy and Luxxy is a common name for one well acquainted with the PUBG Mobile Esports scene. This deadly duo are twin brothers who destroy their opponents when it comes to PUBG Mobile. They belong to one of the best lineups in the world, Bigetron Esports, and as a result, they always perform incredibly well.
PUBG Mobile Global Champioonship was yet another chance for Bigetron to highlight their prowess over the world. This opportunity was even more important because Chinese teams like XQF and 4AM were participating after a long time and Bigetron looked to stomp them in the Grand Finals. In the league stages, BTR was fairly successful and was looking as a strong contender to lift the trophy yet again but due to some issues, they were unable to perform to their prime level.
Bigetron had a very rough first day and afterwards, could not make up for the deficit and ranked fifth in the tournament. This was quite unexpected from Bigetron but now, the press release has revealed that their star duo was infected with COVID-19 and were in isolation during the entire course of grand finals. The official release is given below.

It could be roughly translated as follows:
“Through this release, we inform you that two of our players, Made Bagas “Zuxxy” Pramudita, and Made Bagus “Luxxy” Prabaswara was positive for being exposed to COVID-19. Zuxxy and Luxxy tested positive for COVID-19 one day after landing in Dubai, UAE, namely on January 15, 2021. As a result, with forced the Red Aliens team to undergo the match under these conditions isolation with separate rooms individually. The good news, they have been declared cured and came back negative on January 19-20 2021. Even so, mandatory 14 days of isolation independence must still be implemented. Self-isolation itself will be completed on January 30, 2021 and they are scheduled to return to their homeland on 31 January 2021. Fighting in isolation is not easy. Communication, fitness physical, and mental stability are underperformance factors optimal.”
As per the press release, the team could not play as a whole from the same room and had to isolate in completely different areas. The communication gap was increased due to this and the health conditions itself could be the reason of Bigetron’s bad performance on the first day. It is also stated that both of them already tested negative during January 19-20 but will again be isolated for another ten days.
