PUBG Mobile World League East Super Weekend Week One Day Three Recap

PMWL East Super Weekend commence its exciting first week from today. It is going to be a wonderful journey of intelligent outplays, supreme strategies and pure raw firepower.

Last time we saw Orange Rock leading the score boards of week one seeding and got the set of first 16 teams that will fight in this first week of Super Weekend. Lets see how the first day went for every team.

Map line-up for League Play Week One Day Three:

  1. Erangel
  2. Vikendi
  3. Miramar
  4. Sanhok
  5. Erangel

Match One – Erangel:

The first map starts in a fairly slow pace than what we saw in the weekdays of League Play. The drops were not contested by any teams and all of them had a quiet start. A few players were killed early on but no big fights took place.

TSM-Entity was the first team to get eliminated in the first map. They were pincered by King of Gamers Club and Valdus Esports and took an early exit. The pace of the map quickly turned into chaos as players faced each other all over the map.

Bigetron RA follows TSM and also takes an early exit. It was unexpected from the former champions to get wiped out in such a way. Big names like RRQ Athena and BOX Gaming also dropped out early.

Guns were ringing as the match entered its middle phase and the teams were dropping out like flies. The number on the map quickly reduced to the last four teams standing. Yodoo Gank were dominating in this map, they eliminated teams one after another.

The last fight was a 1vs3 stand-off of Celtz Roxx vs Yodoo Gank. Roxx took out two players with a pixel of health bar visible, it was extra ordinary to watch. Last player from Yodoo Gank shut him down and grabbed the victory.

Yodoo Gank won the map with 19 kills and 39 points. No Chance Team ranked second with 8 kills and 19 points. GXR Celtz ranked third with 5 kills and 19 points.

Match Two – Vikendi:

We again see the usual slow start meta on Vikendi. It was super slow start with loot phase and rotations stretched for quite some time. A big fight between SynerGE and T1 took place pretty early at the start of the map. T1 catches them with off-angles and wipes SynerGE at 16th place.

After this fight, the only action were some knock and finishes which happened while the teams rotated. The match again moved into its slow pace meta till the zone was small enough to force fights from the teams.

Team Secret did a big blunder and blasted some of their own players and took an early exit. This was very bad play from their side. TSM-Entity again takes an early exit as they were earlier trapped in a single shack and could not make it into the circle.

The map pace was very fast as the match was moving towards the end. Teams were eliminated very fast in the final phase of the circle. Jumper from Yodoo Gank showcases an impressive play as holds off three players of Bigetron RA from entering the circle and wipes them out. The final fight was between MegaStars and Yodoo Gank. A player from BOX Gaming did wonders. He was doing a heal battle outside of the zone, and perfectly jumped into the fight and takes out the final man of MegaStars and secured the second spot and few extra points. Yodoo Gank grabs the second win in a row.

Yodoo Gank won this map with 7 kills and 27 points. BOX Gaming ranked second with 2 kills and 16 points. Bigetron RA came third with 7 kills and 15 points.

Match Three – Miramar:

The sandy dunes of Miramar had no action at the start. Heineken from No Chance Team dropped completely away from his team and was killed subsequently as he had no guns to fight.

A few skirmishes were seen as the third phase of zone was closing. A beautiful exchange of grenades took place between MegaStars and SynerGE. SGE Ted dropped pin-point grenades and knocks Owais two times in the row. Megastars was later eliminated in the game.

The circle was shifting to very extreme ends and fights broke very quickly in the middle phase of the game. BOX Gaming were the first to be eliminated and soon followed by many teams in a very small timeframe.

The end phases shifted in the hearts of Hacienda Del Patron. T1 holded the central building and grabbed many kills. They were stopped when Yodoo Gank pushed them and cornered them just to the rooftops. The 8th phase was full chaos when a three-way fight broke out. Yodoo Gank wiped out T1 and Bigetron and grabbed this incredible win. This win was the third chicken dinner for Yodoo Gank in a row.

Yodoo Gank also won this match with 9 kills and 29 points. Bigetron RA came second with 8 kills and 22 points. T1 ranked third with 5 kills and 15 points.

Match Four – Sanhok:

Sanhok started very hot as three teams dropped into the city of Pai Nan. RRQ Athena was sandwiched by TSM-Entity and SynerGE. They managed to sustain in such a position and later clean out TSM-Entity who pushed towards them. TSM took an early exit and SynerGE disengaged later on. That was absolutely perfect gameplay from RRQ Athena.

Sanhok is famous for its unique gameplay that happen on these grasslands. A sneaky gate-keep troubled Yodoo Gank as they were eliminated early and their winning row was stopped.

A lot of third-party game was happening around the map. Teams were trying to rotate in but were killed in their tracks. Every team was gate-keeping their opponents and thus they were having a hard time to rotate.

The circle was so odd in this match that it included most of the water body till the end. Team Secret and Valdus Esports had that rocky shore to play around and utilized it to come in the top three. After team IND was eliminated, a fierce fight between Valdus Esports and Team Secret took place. Valdus Esports won the fight and the map putting up a good show for audience.

Valdus Esports won the match with 11 kills and 31 points. Team Secret ranked second with 4 kills and 18 points. Bigetron RA finished third with 8 kills and 15 points.

Match Five – Erangel:

The first zone was predominantly on the southern island. This caused many teams to rotate early on to the southern island and grab a good position. An early engagement from Team Secret and No Chance Team was seen.

No Chance Team perfectly got two knocks and later another one, making three kills in total. It was a clean engagement from their side. Team Secret was later eliminated at the 16th spot. A bad push from Orange Rock put them into two man disadvantage.

The zone played mind games with all the teams as it first took some steady shifts in the northern part and suddenly shifted entirely into the southern island. Bigetron RA, who rotated on the main island had to rotate back.

Team IND used this advantage and racked very high number of kills from the teams entering the southern zone. They managed to stay alive till the last circle and it was a 4 vs 4 fight between RRQ Athena and Team Secret. RRQ wrapped around IND and won the map.

RRQ Athena won the map with 13 kills and 33 points. Team IND ranked second with 14 kills and 28 points. Bigetron RA came third with 5 kills and 15 points.

Overall Standings:

Synopsis:

Yodoo Gank was dominating on the first day of Super Weekend. They started with a triple chicken dinner which is an impressive feat to achieve. They are leading over other teams with a huge score gap. They have a 30 plus score lead in today’s overall standings.

RRQ Athena ranks second in the overall standings. They have one win to their name and now are performing as they did some years back. RRQ has a decent amount of kill and is second highest in kill leaderboards.

Bigetron RA performed consistently today with the third spot finish. They are just one point behind RRQ Athena and can easily cover up this gap. They had an inconsistent game before but now are performing better.

Teams like T1, GXR Celtz and Team IND have drastically improved their performance and are now going on consistent position finishes and better overall positions.

Orange Rock, who was leading the board earlier had a rough day today as they ended in the bottom half of the scoreboard. They won ESL India Premiership Major earlier today but that inconsistent gameplay was also seen in this tournament.

TSM-Entity, the team famous for their firepower are lacking right from the start of PMWL. They are currently in a rough patch but will have to recover as soon as possible because these matches matter for qualifying into grand finals.
