PUBG developers have announced PUBG: Black Budget to capitalize on the success of their Battle Royale. Not only does the game plan to expand the PUBG universe, but having the backing of top developers will scale this genre to the next level.
Little information is available on PUBG: Black Budget, except for some early artwork that appeared on X. The game’s initial impressions suggest a post-apocalyptic setting in which players must forage for supplies amid rival teams and creatures.
Black Budge is a PvPvE extraction shooter as it was announced along with the three other games that will be a part of the PUGB universe. Black Budget will be a unique game focused on extraction, a gaming genre yet unexplored by the heavyweights of the esports industry. Counter-Strike had such a mode for a while but it was nowhere as popular as its 5v5 mode.
It would be unfair to speculate about the game before it launches so fans need to hold their horses to see how the game players out when it drops. Given the success of PUBG and the being built on the same mechanics, this might start a revolution in the extraction genre.
