With the conclusion of PMCO Preliminary round, the final list of teams heading to Kuala Lumpur to compete in the Global Finals is now complete. The Putra World Trade centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will be hosting the world’s top 16 PUBG Mobile squads from November 29th to December 1st. The winners will walk away with a giant share from the 500,000$ prize pool.
The final standings of the preliminary round showed Mega esports, Bigetron and Orange Esports ranking up 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and making their way onto the global finals. Mega esports bagged a total of 4 chicken dinners in 18 matches, the same as Bigetron. Although Mega led the kill score board with a total of 148 kills as Bigetron was not far behind with 125 kills. Orange esports got Chicken dinner twice although managed to get only 59 kills but they played smart and tactical which helped them rank 3rd beating teams with higher kill counts. The standings after the final game were as follows:
If we look at Indian teams’ performances, Team IND ranked 8th on the final leaderboard and Synerge ranked 10th. Team IND performed admirably with 2 chicken dinners and a total of 59 kills. Synerge had a dream start to the tournament ranking up 3rd after the first three games but things went wrong for them as more matches came. IND on the other hand lagged behind during the initial stages but made a strong comeback on day 2 and 3. Team INS finished 13th with 38 kills. India will be represented by Entity Gaming and Team Soul who ripped apart their competitors in South Asia regional finals.
The gameplay was at a never before seen level and we no longer know what to expect from the Global finals. With the skill cap getting higher and higher with each event we can hope to see some carnage filled battles and close point differences when the final day comes and a PUBG Mobile King is crowned
