PUBG Mobile announces World Invitational with $3M charity pool

PUBG Mobile is well known for its outstanding esports plan in the mobile gaming community. Be it national level tournaments such as PUBG Mobile Club Open for the amateur and semi-professional teams. Or regional events like PUBG Mobile Pro League. PUBG Mobile is back with one of the biggest international events featuring the best teams of their regions.

Tencent has announced the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2021 as a midseason event this year. PMWI 2021 will replace the previously inline tournament ‘Mid Season Championship’ which was set to take place in summer. PMWI 2021 will take place from July 22 to 25 and features a charity prize pool of $3 million, powered by Gamers without Borders. The event will be joined by smartphone company giants, One plus as the phone partner and NimoTV as the media partner.

PUBG Mobile World Invitational will act as the final event of the summer season with the top teams from each region getting an invite for the event. This is a charity event in association with Gamers without Borders. The complete prize pool will be donated towards the Cocid-19 relief funds.

PMWI 2021 will be held in two different parts – East and West. A total of 32 teams will be featured in the event, with 16 teams participating in each region. The East region will feature teams from SEA, South Asia, Korea, Japan, TW/HK/MO, and Wildcard. Whereas, West region will feature Europe, Middle East & Africas, and Americas teams.
