PUBG Corp recently announced that the exclusive Metro Royale Mode is being removed from PUBG Mobile temporarily in the upcoming update 1.4. The Metro Royale is an exclusive mode that was introduced later last year as part of the PUBG x Metro Exodus collaboration.

The developer stated that the reason for temporary removal is to further improve it and add more content and elements to make it more interesting and entertaining. PUBG Corp also created a special feedback post over at the official subreddit “r/PUBGMobile”. The mode is supposed to return in late 2021.

While the Metro Royale mode is going away temporarily, the upcoming version 1.4 update will add loads of new stuff. As per some leaks and sources, update 1.4 is themed around the latest released Godzilla vs Kong movie and since PUBG Mobile has collaborated with Godzilla x Kong, players can expect special loading screens, music, game mode, and mini Godzilla or Kong companions that will come with special features like roars, abilities, etc.

In update 1.4, players will also get an option to enable the all-new “Shoulder view” perspective. Enabling the option shifts player’s character to the left side of the screen and will give players a shoulder view perspective similar to that in PUBG PC.
