As the Indian Premier League (IPL) is temporarily called off due to National Lockdown in India, several youngster players from various franchise teams are keeping themselves busy with other activities such as games for the time being. As such, Indian cricketer and Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag recently faced-off against famed CSGO professional and YouTube personality Ankit ‘V3nom’ Panth in a match of Counter-Strike.
Later after the match, Riyan spoke with Sportskeeda in an interview, where the cricketer revealed that he was surprised that the game stretched all the way down to the last map. He also said that while he just played for fun, he ended up performing better than his own expectations.
The Rajasthan Royals Star also revealed that he prefers CSGO over other popular games like PUBG and Free Fire. According to him, PUBG and FreeFire are well thought and good games but nothing comes close to CSGO for him. The youngster spoke about how Games like Counter-Strike have helped him in playing better cricket as well. According to him, a game of CSGO feels just like Cricket, one part of his mind remains focused at the enemies aka fielders while the other part focuses upon the 1v1 aka bowler and the match situation at hand.
Later in the interview, Riyan Parag also shared that just like him, his Rajasthan Royals teammate Jofra Archer also likes playing online games and added that he wants to challenge Archer in a game of CounterStrike. Among other Indian cricketers, Riyan also challenged Chennai Super Kings pacer, Shardul Thakur.
